Have you fell off your rocker? No offense.
We are in a political war right now to salvage what is left of our constitution that the rightwing is destroying.
I, personally, am ready for a civil war... that is how strongly I believe this madman has taken control of our country and is destroying it. AND there seems to be no way to stop him.
PS If we don't do something and fight back, it will be illegal to have naked walks on nude beaches.

I know what you're saying and I know that people can be mean when they discuss politics. But if you let the divisiveness get to you and you retreat, then they've won by default It may be better for you to avoid these personal conflicts, but really there is value in knowing what the politicians and the government are up to. Why? because they will take the peoples' rights away, if they are complacent, or if they are not vigilant.. I never thought this could ever happen in the US but it has. Even if you don't want to argue with people, you should try to recognize that political discussion can serve many purposes: it's a way to vent, a way to inform or persuade others but most important, political discussion is a way to learn about issues ourselves and formulate our own views.
But even if you stay out of the frey, if you brush up on things come election time and then vote, you will be doing a lot! They *want* you think your vote does not count, but it really does.

Politics are very important because the potitician can take everything away from you if they aren't watched. It is sad when people complain about the price of gas and then go up the New York(or others) and ask the average citizen who their senators or congress people are and they can't answer. That's stupid.

Yeah, I wish I could shake the addiction. But these last 6 years were the first time in my life that politicians (Conservatives) could keep me up at night. I worry about how these @ssholes are ruining my country.

"I try to stay out of the political scenes because I have better things to do". You have better things to do like ask random people if politics is a waste of time...sounds like a waste of time...shouldn't you be out partying...get a grip...vote republican.

Well, sometimes people focus too much on Politics ie Political Parties and forget what they even believe in.
Politics, rather than, what is best for this Nation, is focuses on way too much.

Politics are stupid. we are given two parties to choose and either way it goes to republican. and we cant have more than two major parties or it gets real complicated to buy them out.
