maruti alto is 796 cc and 45 bhp car....so its very comfortable to drive it in hilly terrain be it mahabaleshar or any other hill station. i am an ex maruti udyog employee and an automobile engineer. so dont worry its a great car to drive.

Yes, Maruti Alto is a great car , it gives great value for money, & moreover.But if you are looking for regular drives through hilly areas I would suggest u to go for Maruti Wagon R .Nothing to worry after all its MARUTI , the best you can find in India

Just remember one thing to do..............switch off the AC (if you are using it) when climbing as it strains the engine....that's all. The car is excellent in terms of long drive and seating comfort...even better than Zen...the Igatpuri road is plain that comes after you cross the ghats...but this car will never let you down....
