i absolutely adore "the lark ascending" by ralph vaughn williams (when i first heard it performed, i saw my entire life flash before my eyes)... so i want something that's not tired-- something flesh, original.. vibrant.. and something i can listen to over the internet-- any links to good websites with classical music?

you can torrent tons of classical music, but www.di.fm has a classical station at the bottom.

and i personally LOVE the work of joe hisaishi. very different/modern classical.

if you like the more powerful stuff (i personally do), carl orff has some great stuff, as does wagner.

and good news: Pretty much all old classical (with dead composers and such), is not copywrited, so dling it is perfectally legal.

first of all I rather have on no account heard of Lily's subject. Is that a well-known piece or something? 2nd of all, do no longer pay attention to each and each of the Idiotic solutions here who do no longer pertain to CLASSICAL music such as you mentioned you needed. third of all, My innovations are Ruhe Sanft by utilising Mozart and O Mio Babbino Caro by utilising Puccini
