How do I change my online(i/m) name?

I did nothing to change it but now my i/m displays my real name and not my online i.d. name. I don't want everyone knowing my real name!

this happened to me too,think its something to do with yahoo,they now put in the name you registered with

It depends on which program you are using to chat. They all operate differently.
