I'd Say Leave It In, At Night (going to bed) put it back in.....and during the day take it out or you can even buy a pink colored ball for the top so its not as noticeable...but leaveing it out for a week it will close up...

I can't remember how fast mine actually healed but I know the hole shrunk a lot in a week. I'd suggest putting the bar or ring back in at night if you can.

cant you just get one of those "invisable" bars with the flesh colored flat tabs on the end? im sure it wouldnt close up entirely since you have had it such a long time as long as you keep it clean and you might have to shove it through a little skin when you go to put it back in but i guess the best of both worlds would be to bring the bar or whatever you normally wear and just shove it through when you wake up every morning to make sure the hole stays clear and dosent close up .....then your not wearing it and you dont loose and have to repeirce the hole

i've got had my tongue pierced because 2000. I in no way take mine out (aside from whilst i'm changing barbells). it relatively is relatively no longer a competent theory to take it out till it heals thoroughly (and it in all probability has no longer). If it relatively is the orig. barbell that they pierced you with, it relatively is in all probability basically too long for you. you desire to to purpose an 18 gauge barbell it incredibly is slightly shorter for you. That way it heavily isn't shifting around lots while you are attempting to consume. (basically a tip: confirm your barbells are surgical metallic and are not threaded) stable success! :)

It heals very quickly!
We use to put some toothbrush bristles in the hole, to hide from our mom, and put in on when we went out, or a pink one, to wear at night, to bed.

take a ring with you and put it in periodically (like when you tickle a shower) to keep the hole open for a few minutes

depends on how long you have had it...it heals quicker the less time you have had the piercing...
