Your question actually relates to one of my favorite fields of study- psychology. However, to spare you the pain of reading and me the pain of writing, I will keep this answer as short as possible with as little technical terms as possible.
To begin with, there has been research that has completely defined the cause and role of dreams.
With that being said, there are some hypotheses.
Some hold the view that dreams are simply the mind processing all of the stimulai you received throughout the day. To take your example, perhaps that day a thought relating to Keanu Reeves came up (either consciously or sub-consciously), and later in the day, you had a violent thought. When your brain went to sort that information, the result was a flash of images merging the two.
Others believe that dreams are the reflection of the deepest sub-conscious. If this is so, I regret to tell you that deep down you do believe he is so against you that he could kill you. Or perhaps he, your greatest symbol of success, is taking the form of your internal self-doubt, such that he counts you as a failure and wishes to end you.
At the end of it all though, dreams will be quickly forgotten, and they rarely lead to anything of great importance. So lean back, watch "The Matrix", and enjoy.

I work a lot with Dream Analysis and Dream Interpretation. Most people's dreams aren't supposed to be taken literally. The Subconscious Mind will use symbols because it can't speak to you directly.
The Subconscious Mind will use a train of thought. For example, you may see a pink bow in your dream. The Pink Bow may symbolize a gift your grandfather gave to you when you were three. So it's referring to your grandfather.
I subscribe to Carl Jung's Theory of the Collective Unconscious where all Human Minds are linked together. The Electromagnetic Field functions on the same principles as the Electrical Field in the Human Mind that creates Collective Consciousness for individuals. On a planetary scale, humans would be planet-sized brain cells.
So when you were sleeping, you picked up a thought or image of something that's going on around the Planet. The image you received are in the form of encrypted data though based off of your personal information such as your name, birthdate, birthday initials, your parents' birthdates, etc.
That dream you got wasn't really about you. It was your Subconscious Mind passing on information about what's going on elsewhere. It's not anything you should be too concerned about at this time.

Hate would usually describe aggression and a fear of confrontations. You might be pushing your views and opinions on to someone else. There could also be something else in the dream that you may hate. You might also be denying others opinions about you and Keanu Reeves. I was in my early teens when he started to be getting famous. The time I was bisexual and not asexual.

Yup, it's the opposite. Your dream's actually trying to tell you that you love Keanu Reeves soooo much that you feel like killing him.
