he wasn't finishing his last screenplay before he died, he would "shoot Rupert Murdoch for what he's done to the British". I can only speculate on what that might be because he didn't say, and I don't live there now. Can anyone tell me?

I cannot say for sure what he meant, but I can sympathise with him.

What I think he meant was that Murdoch has dumbed down the UK with the Sun and the News of the World. Building up trash celebrities then knocking them down in a blaze of scandal. Encouraging the titillation-isation of Britain and pandering to the lowest common denominator.

And that's just the newspapers. Don't get me started on Sky - it's pillaging of sport TV rights, trash programming and biased news.
