I dont think about anything. Things just form. It doesnt follow one specific pattern. It all depends on how it comes to me.

I usually write the words first then write a melody around it. But sometimes a tune will just come to you and then you go the other way around.

i myself am a song writer so first off, good luck with that, and second....it depends.Sometimes i can hear a cool melody in my head and put words to it, other times i just write whats in my heart.....did that help any? if not, i truly apologize.

depends on the song.
I'm not a writer but when I produce music I can usually tell what kind of song its gonna be.
I touch on all music.
Sometimes people will hand me lyrics first and then I try to find the right composition for it.

Usually personal things at the moment cuz it's usually what makes it or breaks it! think of Gwen Stefani from No Doubt they couldn't make it til her break up and the personal songs made them BIG!

i think about the beat,then plug in the words.The song is usally about thug life or my life,or what i think about the stuff that happens around me.
