Depends on the circumstances. Compressed tanks of some sort are always on planes above a certain altitude.
True, some commercial aircraft do compress outside air to provide breathing air for the cabin, but compressed air tank is a required backup, especially for crew. Passengers with hypoxia aren't terribly disagreeable. With a loss of cabin pressure on a commercial flight, those little masks drop down, with enough air for a short time.
General aviation almost always uses compressed air tanks, and requires crew to use supplemental air above 17,500 feet, and full oxygen masks above 25,000 feet. Memory is spotty, I always use oxygen above 7000 feet, and don the full mask at 15,000 feet. Good question. I have BFR coming up soon, but first I have to pass the medical.
Submarines do make some of their air, they also surface to take on fresh air, and they also have tanks.

hey , in aeroplanes the air allowed to enter by the the stuff covering made on the plane, but they also look after that the air may not enter in large amount ,
now in submarines the water it'self gives the oxygen to people in submarine , this is by the unique method that is known as Electrolysis of water , i think that you r not in doubt

In Airplanes, all the pressurized air comes out of the compressor stage of the engine, this is called "bleed air".

airplanes just compress the outside air and bring it in.
submarines usually make oxygen from water (electrolysis and such works).
