so i am not quite sure what happened but i did something to my laptop and the next thing i knew my display was no longer in landscape image. instead i had to turn my computer on its side just to look at the screen . i fixed it with system restore but i would like to know what i did so i don't do it again

Unfortunately not a lot of people realize how easy this is to do! Try this:

CTRL ALT Left Arrow
or
CTRL ALT Right Arrow

You can use the Up or Down arrow as well.

One of two things, you either turned the image sideways and saved it in a photo or image software program, or your video card has the capabilities of changing this. If it is the later it will be in your screen properties box.

I have an nVidia drivers, and there is a way to change the rotational setting as follows.

if you right click on the nVidia icon on your start bar, select your video card, and select rotational settings. Different drivers do it differently.

i do not know about that never encountered that but my 4 yr old is bad at moving the start menu toolbar on the side and to the top on his computer,got learn somehow,lol
