is it cause people used to have a tail or is it beacause thats where our spine ends?

My daughter is a nurse. We actually had this discussion. She said we did have a tail. I believe it is just the name of the end of the spine!

I don't know which is correct, but I can tell you it REALLY hurts when it gets broken!!!
OMG it's the worst, makes your whole spine hurt!
(Broke mine in a car accedent! Lost a lot of time from work...)

It's where our spine ends. It tappers to a small tip so we can sit flat without it being uncomfortable.

it is from when we were apes and had tails it is from evolution. If you ever held a snake towards their tales there is a hook that is hidden under the skin, it is the remnant of legs.
