To a point, yes. It's just a job. The job of a job is to be fulfilling, and pay bills (both which I count as parts to being successful). I will always have a life outside my job.

I do not believe that there are "lower" and "higher" standards. Hence, standards do not stand in the way of my desire for success.
However, I would try my best not to harm anyone in fulfilling my desire for success.

What ARE your standards? What IS your benchmark for success? Do you have these down pat? Before you make critical decisions you must have your boundaries drawn, or else everything will be placed in great confusion if it doesn't work out as you hope...

It is not nice, but to get to the top - isn't it a fact you have to step on alot of toes.
If you lower your standards it'll be thought that you will not be able to handle the power needed to be in control.
