According to the Bible, they did have other children...ie Cain, Abel, and Seth as well as other sons and daughters. The Bible is silent on the part of where the wives came from. It seems that they must have been a sister. Then we have the problem of incest that we know of today. At that time, they were brand new humans without many physical deformities and didn't have the problems of gene mutations with marrying direct relatives. It wasn't until later in time (Leviticus 18), that God actually did put a stop to intermarrying within your family due to deformity, etc.

The story of Adam and Eve is just a narrative. But for the sake of argument, let’s say it's true:

Adam and Eve had more the 2 sons. The famous ones are Cain and Abel. Abel was killed by Cain and didn't have any descendants.

After the story of Cain and Abel, the bible tells us that by the time Adam was 130 years old he had another son - Sh'et. And then there is another reference - that Adam lived till he was 800 and had sons and daughters.

We know now that Adam and Eve had more children, but where did the wives came from. The bible hints that actually, this family was not alone in the world. When God told Cain that the punishment for killing Abel was to wonder aimlessly in the world, Cain was terrified and told God that the people that he is going to encounter will kill him. God gave him a Godly sign on his forehead to scare anybody who would want to harm him.
All of this hints that there were other people. But our genealogy is from this family.

The genealogy of man kind is from Sh'et. Not from Abel who was murdered. Not from Cain that was cursed by God and not from the other sons and daughters.

This is the genealogy till Noah (story of the flood):
Sh'et had Eonosh.
Enosh had Kainan.
Kainan had Mahalal.
Mahalal had Yered.
Yered had Hanoch.
Hanoch had Metushelach.
Metushelach had Lemech.
Lemech had Noah...
Noah had - Shem, Ham and Yefet
etc. etc. etc.

I don't know. I've wondered this myself. I heard someone say that Cain went to find a wife. Well I thought Adam and Eve were the first people created. It's all too confusing to me. I don't go to church but I believe in God, but still wonder about stuff like that.

There were some local chicks out there - bible doesn't say how they were created. Perhaps Adam was only a prototype, a test version. Not even a Beta version, hence the name Adam. And the local chicks were probably a pret product series.

I think the word Adam = men and Eve= women. So hopefully, all these different women didn't just have 2 sons or they'd have to self pollinate.

They met up with others from other cultures. The Adam and Eve story is the creation myth of the Jews.

Since every other culture has it's own creation myth, perhaps they met up with females from a different myth.

Regenerate??? I can't stop laughing. And they say Paris Hilton is dumb. By the way didn't you know two men can adopt? So Cain and Abel were the first gay couple to adopt.

Are Adam and Eve, even real? They're fictitious characters based within the Christian Philosophy...

In my opinion, they didn't even exist. They're just symbolical to how nature, science put us here today.

They had three sons, Cain, Abel and Seth. Read your Bible! Cain lived and went to another part of the world. Seth also lived.
