ALWAYS think in terms of getting references, PERIOD.

Even if you totally f up a job, as long as you have good references from a employer(s) that you pleased at one point, you're home clear.

References, references, references is like saying "location, location, location" in real estate.

Even if you work for 18yrs at a job, if you leave without references, you're f'd.

REFERENCES are the Holy Grail of employment.

be persistant. look for Jobs that you were good in school with. dress and carry yourself in a professional manner. even if just picking up application. call back after turned in application, That shows interest. keep calling they will tire of you and call. be confident in an interview, always look your interviewer in the eye. don't wear too revealing clothes, dress comfortably, but conservative, they say dark clothes, but that never impressed me always include all activities while in school, any degrees, sports, clubs you were in in school. sell yourself meaning, if you don't know how to do something let the interviewer know that you are fast learner and Eager to work. remember though. although they have put the ad up, and interviewing lots of people, don't get cocky. they need you as you need them. Good Luck
