2. boo. A word used ironically in a situation where one might have scared someone, but said someone was not scared. Not said as loudly as in definition 1.

3. boo. A word used by someone who is inherently scary, such as a bully or a vampire, to make a weaker person who is scared stiff flee. Usually used quietly, as with definition 2.

as an interjection it means two things.

1) if said loud and sharply (one quick syllable), it's something yelled to scare someone.

2) if the "oo" is carried out, it's something yelled to show disapproval. Like people boo the opposing players or bad calls at sporting events.

with no exclamation mark, it is slang for one's significant other. i think that came from snoop dogg originally.
