More than likely you own real estate, which is the ground up, real estate is not the same as property. You don't actually own the property, you rent it from the sate. You pay property tax for the priviledge of putting your house on their land.
See if you can obtain allodial title. Allodial title on property means no one else has a higher claim on the property than you. The Treaty of Paris was the first time that the Right of the individual to hold property allodial was recognized.
Nevada, currently has provisions for obtaining allodial title, although all land was allodial at one time, the goobermint has eaten away at it. If the allodial title can not be obtained, you might be able to hold the property in a trust, this is a little more fickle, so you should explore it entirely.
You can become truly sovereign, but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

Sorry, you don't have that right. The land you own is actually part of the United States. You "own" it, but you're part of a bigger land called the United States.
Property taxes can't be considered tyrannical. You are represented in congress and in your state congress. If you don't like paying taxes, you can lobby to reduce them. Once you have enough like-minded people, the laws change. An educated society is actually in your best interest.

You have the Constitutional right to leave the country. You do not have the right to take land away from the country. Find some nice isolated island that isn't owned by anyone. Create your own country. Good luck

Remember the civil war? Didn't go so well for those who decided that they want to secede. Personally I'd vote to let you go so I could invade you and take your property for myself.

How do you legally own it? I will bet you didn't pay for it, did you? Probably got it from daddy and daddy probably had it passed down from his daddy, etc. And of course the original owner probably had it given to him by the government anyway.
You live in the greatest country in the world and you reap many freedoms and benefits from it. Pay your taxes you damn varmint!
