McDonald's.
He doesn't have to eat unhealthy, just a little more than usual.
Give him ice cream, too! Yummy!

OH MY do not I repeat DO NOT feed him more food. For one he can get sick. Second of all my mom did the same thing to me when I was in 6th grade because I real short and skinny. I swear I have been gaining weight ever since and it doesn't help me these days because I weight more than I'm suppose to. I feel fat and I always have since 7th grade. Everyones body is different so some people can eat all the food in the world and not gain one pound. Others are different seems like if they eat one bite they gain a couple pounds. Boys need to lift weights and work out to get bigger not eat a bunch of food.

Look for your local GNC(general nutrition center) store and buy weight gainers. Might be better than feeding him some unhealthy foods.

And 58lbs for an 11 yr old sound highly unusually underweight! You might need to take him to the doctor.

He could have a Thyroid disease. You should take him to see a doctor if he doesn't gain any weight from eating, there might be a problem with his metabolism. I had an overactive Thyroid in high school and I lose lots of weight during the summer. My eyes also look big because hyperthyroidism causes your eyeballs to pop out.

See a doctor.

Try adding a whey protien shake to his diet, and have him eat lots of healthy carbs. I've been using protien and working out with my foster dad all summer. We just finished up football camp friday, and I can definatly tell a difference from last year. The protien helps build muscle, which weighs more then fat, and the carbs gives him energy, so his body wont digest his muscle tissue as much.

Increase his protein and carb intake via weight gainer and protein powder for shakes. These things are supposed to be in place of meals. Instead, have him drink a shake with his regular dinner. twice the many calories and added protein should help fairly fast. Reason being is that he is burning more calories than he is consuming.

Tell him to eat more, first off.

But if he weighs that little... maybe he should see a doctor first off to find out a healthy eating plan. That would be the best way to go so you don't accidentally do something wrong.

a lot of underfed toddlers that can't benefit weight quickly sufficient like my youthful brother used to, he drank Pedia-confident and he won weight, and now hes a sprint obese ;) yet, that's healthful, and could help him benefit weight, in simple terms make confident he eats suitable nutrients with it besides.

Tell him to eat more than he play or instead of cooking a nice home meal take him to an all you can eat buffet.
