of bedding or litter do you use for your hamster (if you had or have one?) and do you like it?

Wood shavings as a flooring with shredded paper as a bedding. Please do not use the fluffy bedding as I know of many hamsters that have been killed by eating it or losing limbs when it becomes entangled in their legs. It wraps around and constricts until the blood flow is cut of and the leg dies.

Go to WalMart pet isle and they have all kinds of different bedding types, from shaved pine to stuff that looks like paper thats been washed in a pocket and it absorbes really well and its enexpensive.

I used shedded pine wood...you can get it at wal-mart...a very large bag for $5.00...and i use to have 3 dewalf hamster and they were nice pets...but one of my dogs would always try to get to them...so i just gave my pets away so they wouldn't end up dead...

Aspen shavings or bedding pellets are best.

the brown newpaper type is good. don't use pine. it does smell nice but the oils are not good for the little guys.
