I'm a guy 26 yrs old. When i see tv, or some media.. i see how a bunch of girls will say a star or famous person is Hot. Or even if it's not tv, in schools there will be a bunch of girls that will think that a certain guy is cute. If there's so many people in the world, why don't people just become attracted to different people.. not the same that a bunch of others like.

It's the fame. Alpha males in animal groups are the most powerful. Power in human civilization is status ( realized by money / fame / Physique or Looks / etc.) . The more people that know ( like ) you. The better chance you have with the feminines. Generally, it's a matter of them wanting to be thought well of. It's in their mentalities from birth. They have no choice in this aspect. They can logically try to override it, but in the depths of their genetics, they will always wish to revert back to this system of selective breeding. There's no other way to state it. Humans are in the animal kingdom, and as animals, we rely on status to keep us in order as far as knowing our self worths. Which is why people with low self esteem have few to no friends, and Especially no girlfriends.

because some people are sheep .... ok most people and well thats not the case all the time. I go to an all girls high school and i know that most of the girls there don't like the same guy unless the guy is really hot. don't steriotize people because what you see on t.v or with just a certain bunch of people may not apply to the rest of the world

I say for most women in the world and same as the girls in school don't want to be seen as different for liking someone that isn't liked by the majority of everyone else. Or maybe that particular guy had certain qualities that many women viewed as something they find attractive.

because people are sheep. and it is socially acceptable to be attracted to people who are widely considered to be physically attractive. if that has got ya down, don't let it. Women who are attracted to men just for looks are tramps. and they are usually pretty worthless themselves. and if it was just a question, i would suggest you read up on social norms in just about any sociology book and you will find a detailed description of what im talking about.

shortage of men. then, if they are in the spotlight, that girl wants him to notice her so that she can be his center of attention, and his money. all for popularity
