I have some knick knacks and other decorative things. The only time I notice them is when it's time to dust them. Do you think they make the house cozier or just dustier?? Is there a fine line? I know this is dopey to ask, but I am born disorganized.

Most knick knacks are clutter. Keep only the ones that have sentimental value to you or that really add to the rooms attractiveness.

I think knick knacks help to make a house a home...that said, too many and you're a hoarder - and no one needs 137 Sno-Globes displayed on the coffee table. I might suggest you find a unique and interesting way to display the items, perhaps grouped in a setting or if you celebrate Christmas, consider turning them into ornaments, with glue, wire or whatever - as weird as it sounds, it's an opportunity for you to pull out your "favorite knick knacks" during a special time of year and you don't have to dust them! Or you might pile them in a display table fitted with a glass cover, it's an interesting and electic way to display a collection of items.

Knick Knacks are nice for conversation pieces,collecting dust and taking up attic space.
Personally, I'd rather have one or two **choice** items for display and more money in the bank.

Too many knick knacks just cause clutter and more housework. I keep only a few that has sentimental value.

Just keep a couple of pieces that you can't bear to not see out in the open and get rid of the rest. You're place will look much better with only your very favorite things and more space.

I love them too. They make the house cozier even if it's a little cluttered. It's my home and i"ll have it the way I want.
