depends on the site...most likely it costs a little bit but not a lot....like yahoo for example...in the end it's worth the cost...trust me

If you are talking about setting up your own web page there are places you can go to have a site for free. But everyone who visits your site will have to put up with adds from companies and the such. you can get no ad web pages by paying a small yearly fee.

You can always use a site like Geocities, which is based through Yahoo (http://geocities.yahoo.com). It is free for basic usage and is a good place to start. If you want to upgrade you can buy accounts with more features. To register your own URL I believe you have to pay for it, so if this is a recreational site, I'd recommend Geocities!

bravenet.com,
to name some
these are free,and dont have many features,
if u use a paid website,then it has a monthy or yearly fee,
and also depends upon the space you require for a website
