I've been concerned about this since the first genetics study came out when I was quite young.

I think there is no question that within 25 years there will be a genetic assay that will determine the exact sexuality of the child prebirth. Several major university genetics departments have pledged a complete map of the sections of the genome that cause homosexuality within 20 years, and I am awarding a generous 5 year time period for the development of the test thereafter.

Nobel Laureate Dr. James Watson, co-discoverer of DNA called for mothers to be permitted to abort gay babies, once the exact genetics can be tested for. While Roman Catholic pro-life (see link below) and various gay rights organizations condemned the remarks, the fact is that here in the U.S. significant evangelical pro-life groups began a careful realignment close to a decade ago - even as their leaders denied that homosexuality could possibly be genetic. In my opinion they regard homosexuality as "worse" than abortion, and are positioning themselves to shift to a "we oppose abortion EXCEPT" position, the moment that the genetic mapping is complete.

I oppose selective abortion in general (I don't think parents should be allowed to abort a baby just because its a girl for example) and I always have, but I am particularly concerned that it may be used as a form of eugenics to wipe out a minority, which by happenstance is my minority, at its most vulnerable time -- before it is born.

Reynolds

I think it's a perfect question for the people who are 100% opposed to abortion and also 100% opposed to homosexuality (funny how intolerance for these two things go hand in hand with most church attending Christians).

So which is more important? Not letting your child exist as an abomination or not being guilty of murder yourself?

Anyway, I don't see homosexuality or abortion as wrong, and I'm not opposed to abortion, so I can't really answer the question myself.

Put this question in a different section maybe

Yes, this is not bizarre. This is disgustingly homophobic. I'm not against abortion, to begin with. And if I could know that a child of mine was going to be homosexual, I would not even dream of aborting him. That's SO repulsive!

ADDED LATER:

Shame on me for prejudging! But you didn't even hint it was a trick. Anyway, I take back the homophobic accusations.

i'm a Christian, yet i think everybody placed in this earth has the main suitable to existence. basically via fact the youngster have been gay does not propose they does no longer be a incredible man or woman. everybody has some thing to furnish to society, no rely if or no longer they be "straight away", or in any different case. i think God needs us to work out that we could be style to people and prepare love. If God did no longer decide for the homosexuals, why does he enable them to be born interior the 1st place? I particularly much talked my daughter into having an abortion sixteen years in the past. She became pregnant basically out of highschool. I thank God i did no longer be triumphant. I now have a incredible, clever, and variety granddaughter. I ask God to forgive me generic for even questioning approximately taking a existence.

My child's sexual preference would not at all affect my stance on abortion!

If I knew my child would become a "christian" I would abort it.
