He had guinea pigs, and rabbits, but I don't recall ever seeing where he got them, does anyone know?

The war provided them. The 4077 was a mobile unit and as such kept picking up strays from the places they were stationed. That is where Potters horse came from too. Radar picked him up as a stray. He did steal a lamb and send him back home as an officer rather than let a general eat him. But a number of the strays came from wounded soldiers that could not take them home with them. Some came from destroyed villages. Others just wandered into camp.

Wow good question! I would have to assume they were stray or from soldiers. But remember how good he was at "acquiring" things...he had a whole network of trading buddies. If they ever said on the show I don't remember it. I watched the show every week because my nickname was Radar. When I was young -before I blossomed- I used to be short (well I still am) and wore really thick glasses (god bless contacts) . It was really cool when I grew up and they guy who nicknamed me couldn't even recognize me- and later I got to meet Gary Burgoff and told him my nickname used to be Radar, he said "what the hell for!" He was really nice. Really let me know if you find out the scoop.
