I doubt if they were the first but two early drivers of renown were Pat Moss who was the sister of Stirling Moss and the wife of Erik Carlsson, and Isabelle Haskell who married Alejandro de Tomaso.

Edited. Those above were from reading about when I was a kid; I just did a little research and discovered Joan Newton Cuneo was supposedly racing as early as 1909 and is the earliest I was able to find.

The first female of record in"NASCAR" was Louise Smith who run 3 races in 1949,5 races in 1950 and 3 races in 1952.
