Why is America obligated to give them any form of legal standing to live in America? What is the relationship between non-Americans and America? Somebody explain?

economic - immigrants work for America so they should be taken care of - if so, what about illegal immigrants? Are they not working for America? Who determines who is illegal immigrant and who is legal immigrant? Why?

I'm not sure why it isn't obvious to you. Some people believe that America is a nice place with opportunities (economic and otherwise) and a good place to raise a family. Good for them for broadening their prospects. Not everyone is here to drain the system. Not everyone who is a native here is necessarily a gift to society, either. In general, America, like many other countries, is obligated to offer its so-called freedom to anyone who wishes to live here (assuming they are able to, considering all the requirements). Many non-Americans don't necessarily appreciate or think highly of America. In fact, if you ever leave the country, you might very quickly become aware of this.
America doesn't "take care" of immigrants. They become residents and they don't get anything handed to them. See the sites below to find out about legal and illegal. Illegal can be as simple as forgeting when your visa expires.
Regardless, it isn't ever easy or simply convenient to migrate to another country. Obviously, people have their reasons, but they're usually very good ones.

Believe it or not people say they go there to get job etc from the american what so ever that is not true if they want that they would rather go to Europe they get more economic help for example school you don't need a sholarship to get help and student get money every month and they are the once who work harder for less the money to help there family in need I don't want to talk bad about the americans because they are really nice person and america is the greatest comparing with any other land, island in this world but that's just the fact I really respect those people they have rights if you were in there situation you would think different about them they are just human like the rest of us :)

Do you know that the backbone of your economy is human labour? Without on-hand human manufacturing, everything would be machined base and that's just to expensive.Capitalists hate the word expensive.
So there's where the illegal immigrants come in and provide their bodies for labour.

you are making the wrong question...i'm non american, i'm a resident, not all non americans are immigrants...by the way...most of them are looking for better ooportunities, believe me, it's not easy growing up in an underdeveloped country... legal immigrants have permits...illegals crossed the frontier without it...damn, u r getting into something u don't wanna deal with

Ok let me ask you something? what is an AMERICAN to you...if the president told everyone in america to go back to their country.....there would not be a lot of ppl left..maybe indians hahaha seriously think about it...maybe u were born here..so ur parents r from another country...manybe ur parents were born here..but think about it..their parents immigrated into the us back nt he days...and so on and so on....
but to answer part of your question....obviously they come here for better life because their country isn't offering them that...but right there and then they are chosing to be americans :)

REALITY CHECK!
A native American is anyone who is born in the USA. It doesn't matter where their ancestors came from.
The Indians are not the "original" inhabitants. That thinking is very egotistical. I have no issues with Indians and have a few that I call friends and they never refer to themselves as "Native Americans".
By the way...the word Indian is from the spanish "in dio" meaning "of God".
