expensive computer modules and sensors. Brace yourself for a big bill. If you do not fix it you might be sorry. My 02 sts lost a sensor. When I tried to pull out into traffic, it killled all power to the wheels like I was on ice. the car started to go but quit. So I found myself in the road with oncoming traffic @ 60MPH in a car that would not go. I hit the gas 5-6 times and it finally reponded. I would turn off the traction control now and get to the shop.

Most likely a wheel speed sensor that went bad, or the air gap between the sensor and exciter ring is comprimised.

any dealer can plug this into their diagnostic machine and tell you. Most likely the cat converter is emitting too much pollution.
