I met this girl at a club last Sunday and got her number. I was thinking of calling her up this week but found out she left for two weeks on a trip. So I was wondering if it would be cool to call her for the first time while she was on her trip and then see if we can get a drink when she comes back. The thing is the last time I saw her was a week ago, so did I wait too long.

No, it's never too late. I think a week wasn't that long, but you should probably call her up soon or else she might forget about you. I mean, you guys just met at the club and well, you wouldn't want her to forget about you now would you?

Might as well call, show you are interested, pretend you didn't know she was on a trip. Even if she doesn't answer or get the call, she will know you showed interest and won't forget about you
