Well, I'm completing an English assigment and seem to be stuck on this one word.

I can't really use, 'quick thinking' in this sentence, and need another word to replace it?

Any Suggestions

Wit. How about intuition. Responsive? Insightful? Without hesitation? Immediate? Hum, I like without hesitation the best.

resourceful
innovative
smart

Each used in a sentence:

Being a slacker is actually hard work. You have to be RESOURCEFUL enough to avoid putting forth maximum effort while convincing some other poor sap to do something for you. This quick thinking often leads to INNOVATIVE ways of saving time (ie- using Yahoo Answers instead of using your own brain).

I'm a "SMART" @$$... but can I get 10 pts? :)

Speedy (no offense) is not helping at all. None of those words except acute and astute work in common English and astute means "clever and perceptive; shrewd and discerning, especially where personal benefit is to be derived."

I'd go with intuition, wit, or acute.

The word "wit" can be used to indicate quick thinking. Example: "She was known for her (quick) wit".

Hi! Before I proceed on, don't blame me for trying, so these are the words hopefully susceptible to your context: agile, nimble, adroit, clever, dexterous, intelligent, apt, pertinent and also witty. Remember I'm just 13 and please acknowledge my, hopefully creditable answer to you. Bye!
