Do you think that dogs know that they are going to die someday?

I think they do but according to some of the dumb things they do you would think they dont.

I've heard that when dogs realize it's time to leave this life, they just go away to die. Perhaps they've seen elder dogs do the same in the past. They know their passing is going to happen one day. But I think they have the attitude that they'll worry about it when the time comes. But I don't think they're scared of death. For them it's just a part of life.

How do you feel about knowing you'll die one day?

I think that when dogs are deathly ill they sense they will die. That is why the crawl off somewhere to do it. I do not, however, think my dachshund puppy dwells on the fact that someday she is going to die.

No I dont believe they do but don't you think it would be better if we didn't know about death? I actually seen this topic brought up on a HBO adult sitcom called "Lucky Louie"

Well, I knew one dog that looked like it wanted to commit suicide. It would deliberately lie right where the cars pass and not move, making every car stop n honk and going around it, didn't look too playful either. So I'd say yes.

Its the same reason as us humans,dogs are hell of intelligent,they have some of the qualities of humans.

in general no, they don't. they don't have the memory capacity to even understand anything to do with death... until it comes really near and then I think they know or at least understand their time is almost over
