Hello, I have searched everywhere but cannot seem to find a list of how each state ranks in education. I know I have seen it before (unfortunately California was #49) but can't seem to find it again. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Sorry I can't help you with that list, but I sure would be interested to see it. I teach in Texas and am sure we are near the bottom. As a public school teacher, I would agree with one of the other people on here, that public schools do teach to the lowest common denominator. I would add though, that it is not by choice. Most teachers are systematically forced to focus all their energy on bringing "everyone" to a minimal level. In American public schools there is very little focus given to the high achiever.

I have found an interesting site sponsored by Montana State University in Billings. It contains charts ranking the states by their individual factors. It not a bad chart.
P.S. California was not too bad on the charts overall, perhaps things here aren't as bad as we think.

Whatever it is it is going to be a private school. The public system teaches to the lowest common denominator.
