Don't worry. Some confusion about sexual feelings is normal, particularly in the early teen years when one is going through all the changes of puberty. A survey of 34,000 students in Minnesota found that 25% of students age 12 said they were "not sure" about their sexual orientation. By age 17, only 5% of the students were still "unsure". Almost all of the rest of those who had been unsure at age 12, now felt they were heterosexual.

Let's face it. Puberty can be a confusing time. Your body is changing and your hormones are changing. It is normal to have questions like "How does what's happening with my body compare with what's happening with the other guys?" "Is this happening too fast or too slow?" "I have all these new and strange feelings...."

It makes sense that you might feel confused as your body begins to develop sexually. It's a big change to go from thinking the girls are weird to being attracted to them! As well, it is normal to be easily aroused in your teen years. Whether you're in class, in a theatre or in the locker room, a sexual situation or not, you could get an erection. While certain situations are more embarrassing than others (as if that needed saying), they don't mean anything. You just have to get used to it.

So, if you are a younger teen, don't worry about it. Do not rush to label your feelings. Take some time. Remember, a little confusion about sexual feelings is normal. Things will become clearer as you get older. If there are specific concerns you have, some of the other questions and answers here might be helpful.

I remember back in sex ed the teacher told us that this was a perfectly normal phase that most teenage boys and quite a lot of teenage girls go through. We were also told that at some point in our early teenage lives, most of us would have a crush on someone of the same sex.

As you can imagine, no-one in class admitted to this but it is apparently quite normal and it doesn't necessarily mean that the person will grow up to be gay.

it's normal for teenage boys to think of ALL kinds of sex.
however, if you think about it quite a bit and get more turned on by the thought of gay sex than straight sex then it may possibly mean something more.

yes it is normal. its no different then a boy thinking about hetero sex. only difference being is that you may be gay or bisexual and nothing is wrong with that. as i am bisexual myself and did often fantasize about gay sex as a teenager and eventually found myself and lived out my gay fantasies its all good dont trip ok.

Yes..for you personaly, it may be perfectly normal. For some one else, it might not be. If you're comfortable with your thoughts..then go ahead and enjoy. There is nothing bad about being a guy and thinking about guys.
