No medical records are permanent/ It is my understanding that they are only keep on file for a period of 7 years, if inactive, and then destroyed. However, with that said, if the files are active they are kept indefinately. Mental heatlh as well as all other medical records require a signed release from the patient, according to HIPPA (privacy act)
I believe there are other ways that the FAA can find out about your medication, isn't there required bloodwork for your, yearly exam? Also, if you are active duty military you are not governed by the laws that civilian are governed by. If you have other concerns, please feel free to email me!

Concerta is also a scheduled drug I believe ? I think is is in a similar league to Strattera, also given to A.D.D Patients.
I would presume when it comes to pilots medical records that it is taken very seriously and I am sure that accuracy is of top priority. If I was you! I would speak up. In the event that something accidental goes wrong with anything while flying? The repocutions could be devastating! It is not like driving a car. Surely you can not be penalized for taking medication to help accuracy. Speak the truth. You have nothing to hide. Give it a shot. Good luck

Your permanent medical records are most likely kept in a warehouse. I know someone who works at one of those places. They pull boxes of medical files, filled with a person's medical history, they have to compare separate files, to make sure that all are for the same person. Files are kept for as long as the person is alive. I'm pretty sure that there are warehouses all over the country that are also filled to the rafters with med. files.
The FAA and your physician can find out this info. Wouldn't your physician know that info anyway? If the FAA wants to check it out, I have a feeling they know how to get it.

If it didnt go thru insurance and you didnt give a soc sec. number to you pharmacy there should be onlt records atthe offoices of the physician you saw.
If you dont give that physicians name they shouldnt know.
They usually ask you to sign, giving your consent to releasing your medical records.
Dont give the name of that dr.or any other dr if you saw a " mediacl group"
Your medical records are NOT normally sent any where.
But when you had your yearly medical exam did you tell them to send your records.
ALSO if your not supposed to be piloting while you take it, is there a good reason, I mean will it be safe for you and your passengers.
Also do they do any random drug testing that it might come up in.

i'm a psychology significant in college. with the aid of the few years of diagnosis I have i comprehend for a incontrovertible reality that the mind includes a lot difficult neurological "issues". Neurons, cells, etc. The mind is between the biggest organs in our body. It helps adjust, administration, and coach actual moves, diverse emotions and it also helps us shop and preserve each and every of the distinct information that we receive with the aid of diverse memories in existence . That being stated, it is complicated to say that the mind keeps a record of each and every thing we study. for my area, no one particularly is conscious of if the mind is able to doing this. Why can we ignore some thing and shop in ideas others? Is it that this stuff are extra significant to us? Or is it that they were only a some thing so ""massive/irritating" so we've a tendency to shop in ideas it extra? How can we clarify Deja Vu? Its particularly difficult to respond to this question. yet to respond to it in my attitude i ought to might want to say that i think that the mind keeps a record of added issues then it does in discarding issues. Does that make experience? idk yet desire i helped. the following is a source I used.

No one is allowed to dig through your medical records unless you sign a release form. No one should know your medical history unless they've been peaking in your files.
