Arson is deliberately setting something on fire.....now it could be for different reasons...But it is a crime...some arsonists enjoy doing it ...they get some sort of a kick out of it.., some are mentally ill....some are pretty pissed off at a company for wrongly firing them...so it's a get back thing!!!???OOPS!!! usually it is a building...i almost forgot!!!some structure of some kind!!!

Modern law extends this to any structure and not just someone else's house.
