one of the Disney's All Star Resorts? ANYONE BEEN TO Disney's Pop Century Classic Years?
We are taking the kids (ages 4 & 7) so keep that in mind when you give me your opinions.
I'm leaning towards Sunspree seems like it be the most fun for the kids at the best value; but, I also like the bestwestern lakeside since they have a mini golf course on site & 3 pools.
Lakeside gets 3 & 1/2 stars and Sunspree gets 3 stars on funjet's website. Sunspree is $20 a day more than Lakeside but the kids get free breakfast and dinner so price is really pretty even.
ugh so confused.......please help me....thanks!
Anyone who's stayed at any of these places or knows someone who stayed at these places please give you opinion and your kids opinions (if you took the kids).
Thanks again!

We will be staying at disney part of the time we are there; but, I have a voucher I need to use before it expires and it's not good at disney resorts. So the days we go to sea world, & other parks we'll be staying off disney property.
We are planning on going in January or early Feb. 2007

I've stayed at the Disney Resorts and they are GREAT!! You can't get any more convenient than staying on property! They have great pools and arcades for the kids too, among other things!
You can get some pretty good deals on Disney's website, but also check hotels.com. You may pay a little more at Disney, but you won't have to drive anywhere, so you save on gas... AND parking which is $10 at each park/day!! Something to think about!
Pop Century is neat, but I would recommend Music or Sports. The buses there don't get as crowded as the Pop Century bus, especially if you are going in the summer.
I do have to say I have driven by the Holiday Inn Sunspree resort, and it looks really, really nice. I think I'd choose that one over Best Western.

Personally, I would stay onsite. The value resorts aren't glamorous and don't have any added frills, but they get the job done. To me, the transportation is worth the extra cost of staying onsite. The transportation is so much better than being offsite. If the kids get tired in the middle of the day, you can hop on the bus and go back to the room in about 30 minutes time. Staying offsite, it takes a lot longer, plus, you don't know if the hotel offers transfers in the middle of the day. A lot of offsite hotels just transfer people in the morning and then in the evening and they even have limited space.
The other big benefit to staying onsite is that you can get the dining plan. It is a little costly, but it will save you a lot of money if you plan to eat onsite, and you get to eat at really nice places.
As far as being offsite, I've only stayed offsite a few times, in condos and then I stay at Universal when I go there. The few times I was at a condo, I didn't like it at all. Trying to get through traffic and stuff after a long day, isn't enjoyable. But, some people always stay offsite, not thinking it is worth the extra cost.
As far as which of the two offsite. I have some friends that only go to Disney every few years. Their first trip was when their kids were about the same age as your kids. They stayed at the Sun Spree and absolutely loved it. The kids programs were fantastic and the kids loved the hotel almost as much as Disney. They recently stayed there again, I think it has been a good 10 or more years. This time they got two rooms. But, they said that the quality has really declined and it was nothing like it was before. Rooms weren't real clean, beds were bad, food at the restaurants was over priced and didn't taste good, etc. They said the best thing was the service of the people that worked there, they were always willing to help. If I remember correctly though, I think that kids eat free there with a paying adult, but I could be wrong.
I'm not really sure about the Best Western. I think the best thing is just to look the difference hotels, read reviews, etc. and decide which one offers the most for you. The biggest thing to me is a clean room, and a good location. After that, everything else is extra and I will go with the one that offers the most to me. But for me, I always stay onsite, I think it is the way to go, especially with younger children.
I hope this helps!

If you are going to Disney stay onsite. Stay at All Star Movies or POP Century. The price isn't that much more and you get free transportation and really cool pools and restaurants. If you stay offsite you will have to pay for parking each day you go to a park. If you are onsite you get free parking with your stay.

Best Western all the way,due to the quality of the hotel and that the prices are the same as the others.I have stayed at mainly Best Westerns my whole life, when out on a trip. From the layout of the grounds to the inside of the rooms,it really is the best for the money...tom science
