Exactly how slow do you have to be moving to have a slug overtake you, tackle you and inflict a bite wound?
Seek medical attention, the slug bite is the least of your worries....you may already be dead with how slow you move. ; )

As far as destroying the wee beastie, don't. I'm not sure why but something is telling me that it may go on to do great things in its little slug life.

In my day, slugs had legs, and would run round the garden in packs looking for trouble. My advice is, if you meet a slug, avoid eye contact, keep walking if it calls out abuse, and don't let it get you down on the ground.

Are you sure you have a slug? Often snakes are mistaken for slugs by non expert owners.
You should at least give it a hearty slap with a rolled up newspaper, it won't do it again.

Slugs don't bite people. Leaches do, however but do not have to be destroyed.

No, put it in a jar of salt and take it to the ER for them to run tests on. Do it quick. That could be very dangerous to the person bit.
