I'm not a plus, but you have the right idea. My mom and I hate trying to find her good clothing. It's either one extreme or the other. It's either sized up from the little size 2's or frumpy-dumpy shapeless. Let's face it, what looks good on a 2, won't look good on a 22. And the shapeless clothing looks bad on anyone. The female form can be beautiful at any size. And the stores that carry plus sizes often have styles that are mature, as in 60+ age range. My mom may be an 18, but she's got a great shape for age, and she's 5'10". I hate seeing her stuck in clothing that just sort of hangs on her body. Did the makers forget that women have waistlines?
I think there need to more clothing for adults. Forget the teen styles, they don't look good if you're bigger than a 6 or 8. And let's get rid of grandmom's dresses, and bottoms that come up over the belly, giving you that lovely bulge. How about some tops that flatter the figure, not stop at the widest part of the hips, or right at the belly. All they do is make you look bigger, no matter your size. Flowing fabrics, not tight and clingy. And can we please get rid of spagetti straps and backless shirts that can't be worn with bras? How many plus women want to go without a bra? No empire waistlines please.
I love the styles that just skim over the body as it falls. They are so much more flattering than tight or loose. They don't cut into a woman's body either. Skirts, dresses, and tops that flow instead of cling. A lines instead of pleats or flounces. Georgette and chiffon instead of rayon and spandex. Skirts and dresses that stop just below the knee or at the ankle instead of the middle of the calf. No more big prints and patterns, and no horizontal stripes.
We need clothing that fits the in-between women. The ones that don't want to dress like a teenager, and aren't ready for wheelchairs.

Its a major prob in Singapore, cuz all the clothes here r like ranges frm 0 to 10 mostly. But for my size(16) I usually shops at Dorothy Perkins. However the clothes are not really affordable prices. Im 20 dis yr..so i tend to buy clothes when i needed to. My style is more of smart casual...like jeans & pair it with nice wraptop or watever. I would like to see more stylish tops and jeans dat fit us curvier ladies.

I'm borderline so I shop at plus size places for my tops, and usually Macy's for skirts, pants, shorts, etc.
I like Lane Bryant, The Avenue, and Torrid. I'm 30 and my style is pretty classic.
I think I would like to see more clothes for plus sized women that are actually designed by plus sized women. Often, it seems like plus sized designs are just bigger versions of regular clothes, and that doesn't work because we are built differently. There are so many great design tricks manufacturers can use to support and refine and plus-sized woman's body, and even the stores I listed rarely carry really good styles that cater to o bodies.

personally i like a sale! But Pennington's is wonderful for good quality clothing.. i don't like stores that house both plus and regular sized clothing.. i feel that the staff treat the regular sized customers with more respect.. terrible but true. I'm 30 and i like the current fashion trends.. but some of the clothing, even in plus, is inappropriate for any age range.. trashy. I would like to see more fashionable styles that fit every body shape, no trash! I mean who wants to look like a x-large hooker? Good taste is always in style!

I am 20 years old, and I just started shopping at Lane Bryant. They have really nice clothes, not too expensive, and the sizes go up very high. You can also try Lord and Taylors, they have an extra section with really great clothes too. Of course they are more expensive. I would like to see print t shirts in larger sizes. Things like band t shirts, etc.

I can never find great evening dresses in plus sizes. I can't find much of anything I like. Anywhere. Why can't smaller women's styles be made in plus sizes? I'm not talking about teenage fashions but I like Lauren and can never find much in plus size. Same for Claiborne. Once in a while I'll find something at TJMaxx or Marshalls.
