Yes. Having a well woman exam involves looking at your cervix and doing a pap smear. Being a virgin does not alter the exam and you will still be a virgin afterwards. Having an intact hymen is sometimes a sign of virginity, but the real definition is not having had sexual intercourse.

Unfortunately, yes. I just had my firsy gyno appointment. I am 20 and a virgin. I was so nervous and my muscles were so tense, that the object, which she used the pediatric one, which is the smallest one, just popped right out. She got a small sample, but to be safe, I have to go for an ultrasound.
If you do have a gyno appointment, take some Motrion before you go.

the metal tool is called a speculum, though alot of them are plastic these days. but yes its the only way for a proper examination, it is not something that is going to damage your Hyman or make you any less of a virgin. but if you have any concerns then you should speak to your doctor or the nurse practitioner if you go to a clinic.

yes, but he will certainly take into consideration your virginity, and should be especially gentle...Theres only one way to have that check up and thats using the speculum...just relax and take slow deep breaths, it wont be bad..
and as for losing your virginity with a pelvic exam, no you wont. You wont lose that until you have sex for the first time.

Yep, but its okay. Its just a little uncomfortable, and it can actually be a good thing for the doc to break your hymen, it will make your first time less pain-full and less bloody. I'm glad my mom made me go for a check up "down there" before I started to have sex. Plus its good to make sure everything is normal and stuff before you have sex.

yes they do, but you have to tell them you're a virgin. they use a different type of device that doesn't open as wide and isn't as long.
