Sometimes condoms break for various reason.. There's too much friction, they aren't on right.. *There should be a small resevoir for the sperm to go into or it could break.. The condom might have been old, defective etc.. That's why it's a good idea to have a "back-up" method of birth control like VCF-available at most drug stores.. They are a film-like material that you insert into the vagina.. They are odorless, tasteless and work for 8hours +. They are also very inexpensive around $1 a piece! Or some other method... Good luck

If they say "the condom broke" better get a pregnancy test. Don't ever use Vaseline (or baby oil or mineral oil) as a lube -- the petroleum oil will break down the latex and cause the condom to fail.

Condoms are made of latex, rather like a balloon only thinner. Just like a balloon, if it's put under too much pressure, it will "pop" - which in this case means that it stops holding in the sperm and puts the other partner at risk of pregnancy or STDs.

If you and your partner are engaging in 'rough' sex [fast] and the area [inside the vagina &/or the condom itself] isn't lubricated enough...or simply you are using a cheap condom or one of those flavour condoms...then it will tear. When a condom 'breaks' it just means it got torn or ripped.

Either the condom had a weak spot, he was thrusting to much, it got ancaged on a fingernail when it was going on. It basically means the condom failed/

You have to make sure to pinch the top bubble as you are putting it on. Otherwise there can be air inside the condom and it can burst.

Condom's often break from dry sex or if the condom is to tight.
Well if it breaks and the man has already ejaculated then you have a greater chance of STD's,HIV, or pregnancy.

In general, the longer the sex, the higher probability of a broken condom. Also, the less lubrication, the higher the probability.

I never experienced such incident. But buying good quality condoms can prevent such things! Also one should take some time to wear it properly and not in a hurry.
