Of course.
But first you should start a small fire and teach them to yell 'FIRE',
Theeeen pull the alarm.
It's all about good parenting skills!

I suggest you contact the school and ask what they'd prefer. So many kids think that it'd be funny to pull the alarm, or are curious as to what will happen, or want to show off to new friends. Finding out where the school stands will help prevent problems.

As someone who works in an elementary school, I'd rather have a student learn to tell an adult that he smells smoke, sees fire, etc., and knows to not play with matches, do stop drop, and roll, get out of the house in case of a fire, remain calm, etc.

Good luck, and happy new school year!

No, that is a littel over the top. The chances of there being a fire in your school are low compared to the chances your child might disrup the entire school by erroneously pulling the fire alarm. Teach your child to yell "fire" and get a teacher, or get out of the building.

Talk to the teacher or school administration to find out what they do for a fire AND what they do for fire drills. You should feel comfortable that your child is safe in that school, so talk to them and ensure they are taking the steps necessary to keep your kid safe. Personally, I would teach them how to use a fire alarm, but teach them responsibility with regards to it's use. Good luck...

Just like you teach your child to dial 911, you should teach him to pull the fire alarm in case of fire UNLESS you know that he is a mischievious person.

Talk with the teacher there are policies that the school have to follow for fire safety.
