if its for Desktop/Office use then get

80gb hard-drive
128kb of DSL
256 mb DDR AGP(video card)
3.0 ghz intel pentium 4
512mb of ram
flatscreen

but for games try my configurations(this is what im using)

2gb ram
2mb of DSL
3.6 ghz INTEL pentium 4
250gb of SEAGATE barracuda
512mb ddr of AGP-Ati Radeon

dual dual core,quad SLI,8 gig of ram,dual power supplies,work station,w/quad 20" monitors,and don't forget the software.

probably something around mid- range... a dual core procesor at least 1gig ram and decent graphic card... good luck
