i cant see the air yet i breath it.. we have to believe there is life elsewhere,if we didn't then the world would still be flat..people can change there body chemistry and cure themsevles all the time, we change our diets to help fight heart trouble, cancer, weight problems ,etc.. and yes i believe many people are very fortunate when it comes to disasters.. when i was young, my family escaped a flood and didn't even know, till after it happened..you dont have to see the ball hit you in the back of the head to feel it... hope i answered your question well enough..p.s. ive never seen you but i read your question, i believe you exist...

Nobody only believes in what they can see. But some people do only believe in that which they can logically deduct/induct from what they see. I can't see the fuel in my tank but I'm sure it's there because my engine is running.
As far as miracles go, stealing from Hume here, but aren't they defined as not existing? It's basically a case of whether you think all things that we haven't yet explained could be explained if we understood them better, or whether you think some things are inherently inexplicable.
Maybe some things are inexplicable. But as far as an approach to life goes, working under the assumption that there is an explanation for everything is probably a pretty good idea. It's likely you'll learn more and worst case scenario you're just left in the same place you'd be in anyway, if you didn't bother and just dismissed things you don't understand as miracles/god/mysteries etc.

Though it is commonly said that 'seeing is believing', yet in philosophy it is established that what is apparent is not real and what is real is not apparent. Miracle is that which can not be explained by scientific logic. There are many things in this universe which we can not see by naked eye, that does not mean that those invisible things do not exist. For example the infra-red light which is used in remote control switch pads to regulate electronic gadgets. Like wise, the 'Black holes' of Stephen Hawking fame, which we must believe without seeing. There are certain opinions like fatherhood of man which has to be believed with out insisting on a DNA test. The examples which you have cited in the question as miracles are exceptional truths which are hard to believe but true. But about UFO and 'ET man', there is no evidence to convince the ever suspicious human intelligence which is more interested in its truth rather than sensationalism.

Well it depends, For instance I believe in my religon that is because I have faith. As for what you have mentioned, Yes I believe without seeing since they are mostly known as miracles. I believe there is a great force which governs the whole universe and that is the reason that these things happen. I guess if you have faith in anything or any person you can believe without seeing. On the other hand there are some things which you have to see to believe. Thats human nature.

Yes, I need to see that, or at least that somebody (person or authority) trustworthy guaranties me that it is true by giving me all the explanations and data that shows it is. I'm skeptical and agnostic, so I don´t believe in anything that can't be proven. Most real things can be seen and explained.

i have to depend on my five senses, what else is there? Anything beyond that is fanciful thinking... Empirical evidence and logic/rational thought will trump faith anytime. Of course i'm open to believe anything, just provide the proof.

Once seen there is no need to believe in it. Believing is necessary until you have not seen it. The situations you explain are to be believed only, if you want to. Otherwise treat as any other story you heard like it.

because for me, "seeing is believing." In the sense that i can see it in my own eyes before i believe in any thing...or most probaly there's a real proof that a situation or a miracle has happened or
does exists... why? it's because people can be so exaggerated
& create some things non-existence in their minds through their wild imagination...

What's to see ? If you're lucky you'll live ninety-plus years and that's barely enough time for our sun's light to reach the nearest star.
Most of reality is what you don't see. ( especially on TV. )
I believe that reality is much larger than most can conceive. Can you ?
