I'm not sure if this is normal, since I have never had it happen before, so I need some advice.
This evening I THINK I started my period, except it is very odd in that the blood is very light red and it is spotting, and not a very heavy flow like I am used to normally when my period begins. I have also never had blood that light colored before. I am a virgin. Is this normal? Please I would like SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!

Unless you have other symptoms with it, like pain, dizziness, etc, then it's probably nothing. Also, if you're still in your teens, your period will change at times, mine always did. If it doesn't come in normal by tomorrow, I would call and talk to a nurse/doctor just to be sure. Good luck!

Unless you are having other symptoms, I think you are fine. Flow changes from time to time and I've experienced the light before. Seemed too light red to be what it should, but everything was fine. If there are other things during your period that seem different, you might want to talk to your ob/gyn about them (don't forget to write them down so you can tell your doc when you get there).

Are you experiencing any pain? Sorry, I don't know much about it, but I know that sometimes blood spotting can be a symptom of hemorrhoids. If there's no pain, I'm sorry about my useless answer. =(
