I have a best friend with benefits, as the song goes. I work with him in fact. It's hard to do. Especially when you're both married. First, you both confide in each other. Then you both console each other. We just got over a long cold spell where I couldn't talk with him at all about anything. I didn't like the way he kept his hair. His clothes. I don't want to make this lengthy but I guess it could work. It's about being there for each other in ALL ways. Know what I mean?

With the right friend, it can be a very good thing. As long as both parties are in agreement that they do this to please each other and it stays that way... then it can be very good.

Usually though. it has to end at some point in future time. This should be discussed at the beginning and occasionally during the FWB situation.

I know many people where it works just fine. I also know some married people who have a FWB and they invite him into their bedroom. It works for them.
