If you can't get it out without hurting your ear, go to you doctor. My sister did the same thing and we had to take her to get it removed by our family doctor.

Sounds like the earring may have gotten stuck on some scabbed skin. Even after a year your skin can still be healing.
First try numbing your ear with some ice to reduce any swelling that may be there. Then try to carefully remove it. If it doesn't come out, try either peroxide or if you have any left, the solution they gave you when your got them pierced. It's better than rubbing alcohol. If that doesn't help, it's time to call a doctor. You don't want to tear your lobes by yanking on the earring.

if you have fingernails, put your fingernail around the plastic part on the back. then with the other hand, put your fingernail around the earring front. pull the front and the back at the same time. this should work. Backs with those plastic things are really hard to get off. Good luck

That happened to me a couple of years ago. The back of it might have gotten in your skin. Go to the doctor and they will have to take it out with a needle.Good luck!Oh yeah don't wear earrings with a plastic back anymore.

If that is been in there for 2 years and punctiliously healed over, you would possibly want to scale back it out. Be VERY careful once you try this. be particular to disinfect both your ear and your knife, and performance some different person that you believe cut back it out. i comprehend you do not opt to hearken to it, yet a well being care specialist must be the most secure component for you.

push the earring from the back sharp point towards the hole of your ear. the "needle" will go through but the plastic part is too big to go through your piercing, so it willl stop there whne you take the whole earring out
