I'm a 27 years old man whose heart as been broken many times... and even though I'm in a semi-serious relationship, I feel so alone. I would do anything to feel what it's like to be purely loved... and what I mean by that is love that doesn't revolve on money, security, or even sex...simply the gentle sweetness of love.
And that's why I ask....can that feeling exists?

Oh my troubled little brother. Put you hand in mine and let us take this journey together. Love does exist! Love is real! Your problem is that you want someones else's love to validate you as a human. Wrong answer! First you must learn to love yourself and then your will know what kind of love would suite you. There are no garuantees in love. The best that you can do is grasp all the pleasure out of each fleeting moment with that special person. Love does not last forever.

If you over romanticise love then you are in for a major let-down. Love will not cure all that is wrong with you either. You must step up to the plate and handle them on your own and then you will see love in it's proper place. You are right however money, security and sex don't equate to love.

Go foward my son and live. Seek out a greater understanding of yourself and love will find you.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and yes, true love does exist and when the day does come that you find it, you will know that it was worth all those seemingly broken hearts, and if it's ever taken away, you will truly know the meaning of a broken heart.

I think it can. I also feel that the harder we look for it or the more we compare what we have to what we think we want, we become far less satisfied with where we are at the time.

So far, the only unconditional, pure love I have ever found is that which I have with my children.

yes.

do what i did i stopped looking for love.

then it found me.

long story short, i'm still with them.. it was a strange sense of something when i met them.. (after 2 years of correspondance) it was very weird stuff... karma i guess.... ?

when i wrote them i had this feeling i knew them already.. when i met them.. well of course i knew them already by then but it was a weird feeling of deja vu or something.

they fit every detail that i wanted....

maybe i was blessed this life.

don't know what i did to deserve this happiness but i don't want it to end.. ever.

kinda a drag on the other spectrum once you find that happiness then you really know what it means when they say "love hurts" it is a pain!

i never want to lose them.

they're like my oxygen!

:D

dumb eh?
