He's here for summer vacation, but will be leaving back to UC Santa Cruz... leaving me alone in Los Angeles again. We've been dating for almost a year and a half. And have a pretty good relationship. Great sex. He cares for me a lot... or so he says. But he has the chance to transfer to UCIrvine to be closer (at least not 6 hours away. And he doesn't seem to want to. I feel I'm too pushy. And so I broke it off so he can do what he wants. Did I mention we were one of those couples that do everything together! EVERYTHING. every waking hour was spent with each other. one thing though is that i'm jealous so he tends to lie to me about stuff he knows will upset me, that's also another reason i broke it off. am i crazy? please give me some advice. how do i know this is what's best? what about if he's the one and i'm making a big mistake?

When you are to close to anything , you can't see clearly! Stepping back to see the big picture is always a good option to come back into your own energy and actually see for both parties what you are or not missing from the seperation.Too much of anything is not good. You need balance and independance to have a healthy lifestyle. If you guys really love sincerely each other. The question will answer itself very soon. <

Well, already the relationship has a BIG flaw if he's lying to you about things that will upset you. Which means he's not really being himself when he's with you, so there is no way the relationship can be good and healthy if there are pretenses between the two of you. I think your "gut" feelings told you to do the break-up, which is probably the correct thing, but now your "mind" is questioning it. That's pretty typical of the "heart - mind", "spiritual versus mental", struggle in people. But the heart always is truthful, that quiet voice inside that tells us how to correctly run our life. The old brain, though, likes to create a lot of chaos when we make the decision! Final analysis: Stick to your guns! You made the right choice!

You are not crazy. You are just ready to settle down and he is not. That's not your fault. He wants to be free, that's why he is not transfering. He wants you to know he is in charge that's why he pisses you off. He wants you to understand that doing everything together is as good as it gets for him. He doesn't want anything more. How do I know? I was there once. Breaking up was for the best. You need to be with someone in your own level

To be honest, as long as you have tendancies to be jealous in a relationship, you're going to scare good men away. Jealously is a synonym for "I don't trust you." Would you want a BF who doesn't trust you? Rethink your position on that. This relationship might be history, but history only repeats itself if you change nothing.
