well it does China is affectionately called the big rooster by chinese.

We prefer to think of China as the Middle Kingdom, but the rooster is one of the zodiac signs and is auspicious. Boyd=boiled? If so, then most of China eat rice daily, the Northern part of China uses more wheat than the south, but we use rice flour in noodles and dumplings too.
