violence always sells better than sex. look to the times of the gladiators, or when they would hang criminals it became a spectator sport, vendors would set up their little stands and sell food while the people watched thesehangings. And although sex does sell it is not something that is completely shunned by society, for instance sex education classes. Violence is a reality in our world but most people rarely give in to that inner feeling of "god I want to smash her perfect teeth in" but if something of a violent nature is displayed in front of them do they turn their head and look away? No.In grim horror or silent glee they watch as if held in palce by an invisible hand.

S---, at this day and age, evidently sex does! There are SOOO many people who hate violence, but hardly anyone wants to be bothered with celebacy.
I can do without both myself, however, but if I must choose, I'd choose the sex before the violence.

in movies both sex and violance helps a movie sell good as for books for woman sex sells better. for men i think both sells best. also depends on the persons prefrences

Well I'd have to say sex, because humans are more naturally geared for reproduction than lets say killing a animal or person.
