It cant be proven. The Big Bang theory is so bogus. Someone had to create the universe for a big bang to happen anyway.

God gives you the Holy Spirit which will give you peace beyond all human understanding. That will be your best proof God is real, but you have to be serious about it or you will not receive it.

take a look at the different plants that are on your dinner plate. they are all the results of selective breeding. that is a first step.the more modern method is by DNA. Our DNA has a lot of pieces that have mistakes in it. Like misprints when it is replicated at conception(a bit more complicated but not much) This lets us trace lines of ancestors based on the order and number of mistakes in the copy. like reading subsequent editions of a book. if the first printing of the book made a mistake and the people copying the book copy that mistake as they copy the book but make some more mistakes you can tell something about the ages of the editions by how many mistakes they have in them. they should all have the first mistake. but only the first edition has only the first mistake. the second edition has the first mistake, but it also has a second mistake. The fiftieth edition would have fifty mistakes. DNA does just like that. Then there are the organs that are disappearing, like our appendix. or the fact that humans have gotten taller over the last few thousand years. Then there is all the work on fruit flies. they go through generations so fast that new species of fruit flies can be bred in the lab, not strains or varieties but new species. my fingers are a bit tired.. hope this is enough.

Evolution is real and it is happening right now. Elephants in Africa commonly had tusks 100 years ago. Now, most elephants are born without tusks because ivory hunting has resulted in the 'tusk' gene becoming less likely to be passed on. Similarly, but on a different scale, are you aware that antibiotics are becoming less effective as time goes on? And have you noticed that if you are prescribed antibiotics you are warned to make sure you finish the course? That is because bacteria are evolving to become immune to those antibiotics. If less than 50 years of evolution can render a powerful antibiotic useless, imagine what hundreds of millions of years of evolution can do?

If you believe so strongly in 'intelligent design', please could you let me know why the majority of American males are circumcised? Presumably if God designed the foreskin to be there, who are we to chop it off? Ditto for the appendix, and also tonsils.

The phrasing of you question highlights a simple conflict between 'creation' and 'evolution'.

No, we cannot 'prove' that evolution is correct; that is not how science works. Science cannot prove that anything is correct. All that science can do is prove that things are INCORRECT. Scientists come up with a theory, and they actively work to disprove that theory, building up knowledge and facts as they go.

Now, can you 'prove' creation? No, you can't. Creation is not something you need to prove, it is something you believe. Belief is a very powerful thing.

And there is the crux of the problem; you cannot pit a proof argument and faith argument against each other. They simply cannot be reconciled because scientists can't base their work on faith, and creationists cannot argue their point on proof.

I am a scientist - a geologist to be precise - and I have seen plenty of evidence which leads me to accept evolution. However, I also believe in God. God set a wonderful thing in motion when he laid out the rules by which organisms would gradually evolve. Also, God doesn't want to confuse, or frighten us. That's why He gives us little snippets of information as,and when mankind is able to understand them. When genesis was written, mankind had no concept of genes, or physics, or chemistry, so God explained it to us in a way we could understand, perhaps as you or I might explain to a small child how a car or a TV works. As we have developed and grown as a race, God now reveals to us more information about evolution. We cannot move forward as God wants us to do if we cling to simple explanations for things that we have now outgrown.

Evolution is not true. Evolution is a scientific hypothesis. As such, it has been repeatedly tested using the objective scientific method. Despite being examined this way for over 100 years, it has failed every single test. It is highly likely that there is a scientific basis for the origin of species. However, evolution is not it.

The fact that it continues to be treated as if it was true, is a matter for no small concern. This means that scientific institutions have been subverted by dogma and politics. That is highly inappropriate and hearkens back to a darker time when myth was treated as fact and those that disagree were persecuted no matter the evidence. Science rose specifically to counter that nonsense with rationality. Worse, the people doing this have an evil agenda to strip people of their faith in God so that they will accept the evil behaviors inherit in Marxism. Not good.

I challenge anyone to provide a single, solitary piece of scientific evidence for evolution, from ANY field of biology. No one can do this because it does not exist. In fact, the lack of such evidence in places where you would clearly expect to see it (the fossil record, microbiology, genetic research etc.) is EXTREMELY strong proof against evolution.

Well there's literaly TONS of fossil evidence for evolution sitting in museums and universities all over the world... Scientists are a quarrelsome lot, but if you can get 98% of them to agree on something then you can pretty well be sure that it is right. The mechanisms that give rise to evolution at the molecular level are so well understood that DNA evidence is now routinely used in court to prove or disprove guilt and paternity, and judges trust it so much that they let people out of jail who were convicted before DNA evidence was available, just because the new technology says they are innocent.

So my question to you is.... How much proof do you need?

One important thing is to remember that the universe does not revolve around humans. People are always trying to explain everything from a human perspective - i.e. that someONE had to CREATE it all. It is all so ordered, some had to have THOUGHT it all out ahead of time. Damn are we cocky! Take the human out of the equation and then try to explain how we got here.

Evolution is a scientific theory that has been supported by facts (much like gravity). BTW, it also does not explain how the universe was created. That one is even more up in the air.

Ask yourself this. Do you believe that dinosaurs existed? They existed for thousands of years without man. Yet, God created the earth in seven days according to the Bible. So ask yourself. And according to Genesis (although the first and second chapter completely CONTRADICT which order this apparently happened in) man was created before the animals.

So which came first? Adam and Eve or the Dinosaurs?

It just doesn't make sense. There were no humans when dinosaurs existed. Yet according to this book which was written by MAN, humans came before animals.

Think about it.

Excerpt from Chapter 1:

And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Excerpt from Chapter 2:

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

IT COMPLETELY CONTRADICTS ITSELF! In the first two chapters of the most holy book, there is a huge contradiction.

Actually read the writings on the topic and then make up your own mind about whether it's been proven already. Most people who have opinions about this topic have never read the Origin of Species--really weird to have an opinion or come to a conclusion without considering the source, yes?

There is already sufficient proof as illustrated in our many fossilized findings. It is more than abundantly clear that creatures on earth evolved. It is just so sad that many of our religious brothers can't handle the fact that God was smart enough to put the whole process in motion.

Some people say that if they find bones of primitive life forms it could prove evolution, but really the idea of evolution vs. creation by a God or higher power is based on a leap of faith.
