Excedrin is an excellent choice. That's what I use and it works quickly and for a long time! Excedrin and Aleve are my top picks.

Try using a heating pad and taking some midol. It's supposed to help with everything not just the cramps. It's not expensive either and I think it will work a lot better than excedrin

What happen to midol. That was an over the counter pain medication for cramps. But Excedrin will do well to, or acetaminophen (Tylenol), or Ibuprofen. Try a heating pad to your abdomen. That can help too.

Ibuprofen is actually better for muscle cramps of all kinds and works better for menstrual cramps. It will work much better than either Tylenol or regular aspirin. Midol or Pamprin can help with other problems as well. (I've had really painful cramps my entire reproductive life. My doctor told me to take up to 600 mg of Ibuprofen when I need it for that purpose. I'm not suggesting you do that, since I am not a doctor, just relaying what my doctor had me do. Ibuprofen has been the only thing to work for me when it comes to cramps. Midol wouldn't even touch them.)

Ibuprofen (advil, motrin) has always worked best for me. It's supposed to work faster than tylenol, and lasts a long time. You may need to try several different OTC drugs (not at the same time) to find which one works the best. If it gets really bad, I like to take a bubble bath to relax the cramps. Good luck, and feel better!

Get off this computer and go soak in a warm to hot bath with epsom or epson salt it'll relieve those tense muscles in your abdomen. Also try to stay clear of most asprin containing medications they can really become addictive. Try some Ginger Root and Lemons its a miracle worker.

from now on, use motrin (ibuprofin) It helps to begin the day before you know your period is to start. It is the best drug, bar none, or releiving cramps. take 400mg. Never take more than 2400 in a 24 hr period of time. Always take with lots of milk, cookies or other food.

I take this stuff called naproxen sodium... I used to get really bad cramps and even throw up at times, and they really help. also those heat pads work really well, if you are stuck at home then get a hot watter bottle or anything like that just don't burn yourself. heat always does the trick...good luck!

You can take midol, or I think tylenol makes something for that, I'm not sure. The easiest is using a moist water bottle on your abdomen and don't drink too much caffeine.
